Jacob Fitzpatrick, GER’s Springfield office lead, has earned his P.E. license! GER is excited to announce that Jacob Fitzpatrick is a newly licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Missouri.
Hard work and commitment are instrumental in Jacob’s professional career and led to his success as a key member of our Environmental team. Being a Professional Engineer is the engineering profession’s highest standard of competence and responsibility. To become a licensed Professional Engineer, engineers must earn a B.S. degree from a nationally accredited engineering program, pass the 6-hour Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, work under the supervision of a P.E. for at least four years (or 3+M.S.), pass the 8-hour Principles and Practices of Engineering (PE) exam, and apply for a license from a state licensure board. This strenuous licensure process is important to safeguard public health, safety, and welfare.
Jacob’s career with GER started in 2019 with two internships while in college. He graduated from Missouri S&T with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering and then returned as a full-time employee in 2022. While working with GER, he earned his M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Missouri S&T, which allowed him to obtain his P.E. license after completing three years of engineering work with GER.
