> POSITION TITLE: Professional Engineer/Senior Project Manager

> LOCATION: Jefferson City MO Office

GER is seeking a full-time Professional Engineer / Senior Project Manager with 10-25 years’ experience, who is looking for the freedom of working in a small, close-knit office, the opportunity to work on a broad spectrum of projects, and the opportunity to become a member of the upper management of the company.  This position will work directly for the company President and can lead to an ownership role within two to five years.

A successful candidate will:

• be a self-starter,
• have strong leadership skills and a desire to lead an engineering organization,
• have a strong, broad base of civil engineering (or related discipline) skills,
• have effective collaboration skills (internally and externally),
• have strong project management skills, and
• have the ability to work both independently and as part of a project team.

Requirements for this position:

• A Minimum of 10 years of successful, progressive, engineering consulting experience.
• P.E. license in Missouri or the ability to obtain it through reciprocity within 6 months.
• Significant Project Management experience in a design consulting environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with clients, subconsultants, and project stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor team members for professional development and career growth.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel within Missouri and out of state intermittently.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Current and recent past projects are primarily in the Industrial and Commercial sectors, with a growing market in the Public Works sector.  Current projects include:  large earthwork and grading projects; solid waste projects; geologic/groundwater investigations; geotechnical investigation and design; stormwater and water resources; small potable water systems; small wastewater collection and treatment systems; and, a variety of environmental compliance and permitting projects.

Project activities include:

• pre-design investigation and evaluation;
• preliminary planning;
• conceptual design;
• design development;
• preparation of construction documents;
• construction cost estimating;
• environmental/local permitting; and,
• construction observation, quality assurance, quality control.

> POSITION TITLE: Civil/Environmental Engineer

> LOCATION: Jefferson City or Springfield MO Offices

GER has openings for a mid-level Civil or Environmental Engineer looking for a career change and growth opportunity with a 24 year strong consulting firm with an impressive list of clients. Seeking applicant to work in our Jefferson City office. Must accept project management and marketing responsibilities. Quick, upward mobility potential.

• 5 to 10 years’ experience
• B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Missouri
• Preferred candidate has stable work history and interested in a career change
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Willing to mentor less experienced engineers
• Demonstrates broad civil or environmental engineering knowledge
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other specialty engineering softwares
• Work in the office required with occasional ability to WFH  (Some overnight travel required)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Requirements for position:
• P.E. license in Missouri, or ability to obtain it through reciprocity.
• BS degree or higher in Engineering, Civil or Environmental.
• Earthwork design and construction quality assurance experience.
