Mikel Carlson and Jacob Fitzpatrick attended the 78th annual convention of the Missouri Limestone Producers Association (MLPA) on November 30th – December 1, 2023. There was record breaking attendance again and we met with several quarry operators, vendors, and regulators. GER is an associate member of MLPA and provides regulatory compliance and land reclamation permitting assistance for mining operations.
While at the convention, Mikel Carlson participated in the Industrial Minerals Advisory Council Meeting as a council advisor member. The Missouri Industrial Minerals Advisory Council is an advisory council to the state geologist. The council’s main duty is to advise the department on collecting, processing, managing, and distributing geologic and hydrologic information to assist the industrial minerals industry.
During the convention, Jacob Fitzpatrick attended the Missouri Minerals Education Foundation (MMEF) as a board member. The MMEF works to educate the public about mining and provide lesson plan materials to school educators.
