GER Pumpkin Contest and Open House Success

GER’s Open House was a success, with great weather and many friendly faces stopping by to share the day. It was a well deserved day to show appreciation to our staff and our network of clients and community.

GER Staff had fun decorating pumpkins for our Pumpkin Contest. During our Open House, our visitors voted for winners in the contest. Staff showed off their skills and creativity while having a little fun. Congratulations to the winners and to all participants!

RCon 2026 Conference

RCon™ 2026, Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) #SWANARCon conference is coming to St. Louis, Missouri on September 29 through October 2, 2026. GER is excited that team member Jacob Fitzpatrick, P.E., Missouri SWANA Chapter President, will be at the conference. Jacob has been nominated to serve as the President of the Missouri Chapter of SWANA and is anxious to serve and discuss your solid waste questions. Attendance at this event will offer our team an expanded network, opportunity to learn and earn PDHs, and to stay at the forefront of innovations that are reshaping the future of waste and resource management. Professional Engineers Day, #LicensedPEday was established in 2016 by the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) to highlight public safety, ethical standards, and the value of an engineering license to the community and your project! A licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) ensures delivery of safe, ethical and skilled engineering services to the public.

GER is proud to honor our P.E.s today and every day: Thomas Gredell, P.E., Jacob Fitzpatrick, P.E., Liberty Sitzes, P.E., Rickie Roberts, P.E., John Browning, P.E., Cole Mengwasser, E.I. (Engineer Intern), and Megan Sly, E.I. (Engineer Intern). As professional engineers, it is our promise to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public. Networking and Education at MWCC Conference 2026

GER staff enriched their knowledge and networking at the MWCC 2026 conference, July 12 through 14, 2026! The conference started off with a golf tournament that provides funds for the MWCC scholarship program. Education sessions were enlightening, and seeing familiar faces and meeting new peers was refreshing.

If you missed the conference this year, mark your calendar for next year’s conference, July 11-13, 2027! This conference is a must-attend event for the waste industry.
