77th Annual MO Limestone Producers Association Convention

Mikel Carlson and Jacob Fitzpatrick attended the 77^th annual convention of the Missouri Limestone Producers Association (MLPA) on December 1-2, 2022.  GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc. donated a sports memorabilia autograph for the silent auction to support the MLPA Scholarship Foundation.

During the convention, Jacob Fitzpatrick was elected to the board for the Missouri Minerals Education Foundation and Mikel Carlson attended the Industrial Minerals Advisory Council Meeting.  There was record breaking attendance and we met with several quarry operators, vendors and regulators.  Gredell Engineering provides regulatory compliance and land reclamation assistance for mining operations.

Gredell Participated in ACEC-MO 1st Annual Sporting Clays Tournament

On Thursday, November 3, 2022, GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc., participated in the 1^st Annual ACEC-MO Sporting Clays Tournament held at Prairie Groves Shotgun Sports in Columbia, MO.  The tournament consisted of an 8-station course that allowed participants a chance to hit a maximum of 50 targets.  There were 20 registered participants in this 1^st time event!!  Everyone had a great time and the weather was beautiful.

Our participants were (pictured, from left to right) Dennis Naylor, Cole Mengwasser, Tom Gredell, Mike Tuter, and Jacob Fitzpatrick.  Jacob Fitzpatrick won 3^rd place in the tournament.

Planning Makes Perfect!!

On Thursday, October 27, Tom Gredell, P.E., Mikel Carlson, R.G., and Ken Ewers, R.G. of GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc. attended the Ameren Missouri POWERforward Supplier Luncheon in St. Louis.  More than 100 Regional engineering firms, manufacturers, contractors and other suppliers participated in the event.  Ameren Missouri provided progress reports regarding the great strides that have been accomplished of the past three years and how new legislation is extending the plan through 2028 and possibly beyond.  Companies were recognized by Ameren Missouri for Stakeholder engagement and support of the Smart Energy Plan project work.

Gredell Engineering was recognized with other attendees as valued supporters of Ameren’s Smart Energy Plan and POWERforward initiatives.   Gredell Engineering has been a supplier of Hydrogeological and Engineering Services for Ameren Missouri since 2005.

Trivia Night for United Way

A Great Night for Trivia!

On Thursday, October 13, GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc. participated in the Bartlett & West Trivia Night charity event benefiting the United Way of Central Missouri.  Local engineers and others participated in the fun night of well-rounded questions.  Everyone was competing for a charity of their choice and the top three teams’ charities received a generous donation from Bartlett & West.

Our team did well amongst the others but fell short of placing in the top three.  Our team consisted of (pictured, from left to right) Audrey Mengwasser, Cole Mengwasser, Mike Tuter, Wayne Elliott, Jacob Fitzpatrick, Mike Carlson, Gretchen Carlson, and Tom Gredell (photographer).  We had a great evening of trivia, and we want to thank Bartlett & West for inviting us to this event.

Congrats to Britt Smith

GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc. congratulates Britt Smith, P.E., F.NSPE, for his election as President of the National Society of Professional Engineers.  Britt is only the second Missourian to hold this office during the 88 years of NSPE!
