GREDELL Engineering Resources is on the Go Again!

On 5/3/22, GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc. Senior Geologist, Blake Smotherman presented a talk entitled “ Applied and Observed Organic Geochemistry in Missouri” to Dr. David Borrock’s Organic Geochemistry class at the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla. The talk focused on the characterization and remediation of chlorinated solvent sites, and how geochemical and geological interpretation played a major role in planning and data interpretation. Many thanks to Dr. Borrock, his excellent class and MS&T for the privilege of meeting you!

MS&T Academy Inductee – Thomas R. Gredell

Thomas R. Gredell was honored to become a member of the Missouri S&T Academy of Civil Engineers during an induction ceremony on April 7 in Rolla.  Tom is President of GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc. (Gredell Engineering).

Tom was nominated for his career as an outstanding civil engineer, a community leader and role model for young engineers.  He formed Gredell Engineering in 2001, and has held positions in several professional organizations, as well as being active in the local schools and his church.

MS&T Academy of Civil Engineers was established in 1972. Their mission is “To recognize outstanding alumni who bring honor to the department as engineering practitioners and leaders in community affairs.”  To date, the academy has inducted 366 members.  Inductees are called upon by the department to be partners in support of the University and in the education of engineering students.

Gredell Engineering is a civil engineering and environmental compliance consulting company based in Jefferson City, with offices in Lenexa, KS and Springfield, MO.

STEM Program Promoted

Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) programs are increasingly important for our lives in the 21st Century.  Engineering firms depend on  our youth gaining these important skills to maintain our workforce of skilled engineers.

GREDELL Engineering Resources recently made a donation to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic High School to benefit their robotics team.  Team members and coaches are preparing for competition in the photo below.  Best of luck, students!!

Mick Cossairt 25 Years as Geologist

James “Mick” Cossairt, R.G., of GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc. is recognized by the Division of Professional Registration for being a licensed Geologist in the state of Missouri for 25 years!  He is also a Registered Geologist in the states of Kansas and Nebraska.  His knowledge and experience as a geologist in Missouri are recognized among his peers.

Fitzpatrick Joins GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc.

Jacob Fitzpatrick recently rejoined the staff of GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc. (Gredell Engineering) as an Environmental Engineer.  Mr. Fitzpatrick graduated Magna Cum Laude from Missouri University of Science and Technology in December 2021, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering.  He completed two internships at Gredell Engineering. His areas of expertise include: solid waste, hazardous waste, permitting and compliance, landfill construction and closure, stormwater management, hydrogeology, hydrology and water/wastewater.

Mr. Fitzpatrick’s education and experience complement and enhance Gredell Engineering’s current staff and capabilities with skills in subsurface exploration (geological & environmental), GIS mapping, modeling software, reclamation, and remediation.  He will support our environmental projects.

Gredell Engineering is a civil engineering and environmental compliance consulting company based in Jefferson City, with offices in the Kansas City metropolitan area and Springfield, MO.  Mr. Fitzpatrick will be based in Gredell Engineering’s Jefferson City office, but will work on projects throughout the state and in adjoining states.
