Springfield Office Expansion
“Expanding our office and staff in southwest Missouri is an opportunity to continue offering our expertise and experience to current and future clients in southwest Missouri,” said Thomas R. Gredell, P.E., President and founder of GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc. (Gredell Engineering). Our Springfield branch office has expanded in size and skills! Staff changes and new projects have led to the expansion. We have not moved, but added more space in our current location.
Gredell Engineering congratulates Rickie L. Roberts, P.E. on his recent retirement. After many years serving our environmental and civil engineering clients, Rickie has turned over the reigns to Christopher Landoll, P.E. to continue serving current clients and growing our team.
Christopher Landoll will manage our Springfield branch office and brings 35 years of diverse project management experience to Gredell Engineering. Chris joins Gredell Engineering’s team to support our capabilities and experience in utility waste, solid waste, municipal engineering and environmental permitting and compliance. Chris achieved excellent results in planning and executing major initiatives and finding effective solutions to difficult problems and is an effective communicator and motivator with results oriented business focus. Mr. Landoll will expand our environmental presence in southern Missouri and will help manage and complete current projects.
Gary Pendergrass, P.E., R.G., joined our team in 2020. Gary has assisted our team in being awarded a large hydrogeologic project with a focus on subsurface karst issues. His expertise includes site investigation/remediation; karst evaluation/engineering; groundwater characterization/monitoring; carbon sequestration; geophysical investigation; and risk management planning. Mr. Pendergrass is a long-time member of the Missouri Air Conservation Commission and was named one of Springfield Business Journal’s Men of the Year in 2019. Gary has recently been registered as a Water Tracer in Missouri.
Blake Smotherman, R.G., joined the staff of Gredell Engineering as a Senior Geologist. Blake has a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology/Geology from Missouri State University and a Master of Science degree in Geology from Emporia State. His experience includes hydrogeology and petroleum geology, liquid and solid waste, geochemistry and geophysics. Blake’s education and experience adds to and compliments Gredell Engineering’s current staff and capabilities.
During the summer, we employed an intern, Stephen Simmons, MS&T Senior, as an Engineering Intern. He will graduate in December 2021 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and B.S. in Architectural Engineering. Stephen assisted in field work and supported projects in southwest Missouri.
“Gredell Engineering has consistently and steadily grown during our first 20 years, and this expansion will allow us to continue our growth. The larger office space was necessary to provide our wide range of environmental and engineering services to southwestern Missouri and surrounding states. We offer professional consulting services in the areas of water resources, civil engineering, waste management, environmental permitting, site assessments and remediation, site planning and development. From the client’s perspective, it is experience that counts and we have the engineering, geologic and environmental experience with land, air and water issues that our clients can count on,” Gredell concluded.
