Congratulations Lady Crusaders!!

Congratulations Helias Catholic High School Lady Crusaders Soccer team on a great season!  Shout out to Cole Mengwasser for assistant coaching duties, going to school, and still providing us with exceptional work!

ESBA Golf, “Most Honest” Team

GER staff took honors of “Most Honest Team” at the East Side Business Association (ESBA) Benefit Golf Tournament on Friday, May 17, 2024.

Our team, pictured from left to right, Jacob Fitzpatrick, Jacob Wolken, Cole Mengwasser, and Wayne Elliott, had a great time supporting our local business association and networking with community members.

The tournament proceeds will be used to provide scholarships to local high school graduates.  GER contributed by sponsoring a team as well as sponsoring Hole #10!

Today is Earth Day!

Today is Earth Day, April 22, 2024!!  Earth Day was first organized on April 22, 1970, by Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson and graduate student Denis Hayes.  In 1990, a global Earth Day was organized in more than 140 countries.

There are many simple things you can do to support Earth Day, today and everyday!    RECYCLE, RECYCLE, RECYCLE.  Reduce your waste by recycling.  Conserve our resources.  Turn off lights when you leave a room, take a shorter shower, or set up a rain barrel to collect rainwater for yard use.  Plant a tree or native plant to provide cover and food sources to birds and bees.  Bees play a crucial role in pollination but pesticides reduce the population of bees.

The DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back day is the last Saturday of April.  By dropping off your unused medications, you are keeping them out of our groundwater system.  Local law enforcement agencies will “Take Back” your prescription drugs in a safe manner.  Check your local area to find other locations.

MS&T Alumni Panel

Jacob Fitzpatrick, E.I., represented GER as an alumni panelist for the Missouri S&T Admitted Student Reception in Springfield. He shared his educational and professional experiences in the engineering field with future S&T students. The participants and their families asked questions about the classes, design teams, and other opportunities that the alumni had during their time at S&T.

GER maintains active connections with the universities and technical schools, as we continue to partner with them and hire their high-quality students for internships and full-time employment.

MS&T Academy of Civil Engineers

The Missouri S&T Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering Academy of Civil Engineers met last week for planning, awards and recognitions. This group of leaders provides invaluable support to our young engineers!! Thank you, Thomas Gredell, for providing invaluable guidance and support!
