Giving Back to Our Community

The United Way of Central Missouri’s Annual Meeting was held on February 8, 2024, at the Capital Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City, MO.  During this meeting, new members of the Governing Board and Board of Directors were formally elected.  Lynnette Robinson, Office Manager at GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc. (GER) was elected for a three-year term to the Governing Board.  GER supports our employees’ involvement in community and professional organizations as a networking and development opportunity.

Governing Board members are asked to volunteer on United Way committees to support their goals and commitments to partner agencies.  Serving more than 128,500 people in 2023, it takes commitment from our members to successfully meet the campaign goals.  Giving back to our community gives a sense of pride and accomplishment in knowing you are making a difference in someone’s life!  Consider volunteering for your local United Way.  “Together Anything is Possible”

Congratulations Jacob Fitzpatrick!!

GER congratulates Jacob Fitzpatrick, E.I., on his December 2023 graduation from Missouri University of Science and Technology with a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering and a Subsurface Water Resources certificate!  Jacob joined GER in January 2022, following the receipt of his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering and began work on achieving his Master of Science degree while working full-time for GER.  Hard work and commitment paid off! Great job, Jacob!

GER supports our employees’ pursuit of further education by working with them to alter their work schedules and provide partial tuition assistance.

WELCOME Tristanna Crapo

Tristanna Crapo recently joined the staff of GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc. (GER), Jefferson City office, as an Environmental Geologist.  Tristanna graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Geosciences with a primary focus in geology. Ms. Crapo has diverse experience in environmental consulting, hazardous waste management, and soil remediation. She has worked in Southeast New Mexico as an environmental consultant focused on the clean-up of oil and gas releases. In addition, she has spent time in South Africa researching and informing the local population on the environmental impact of ore-mining on the country’s rural communities.

Ms. Crapo’s education and experience complement and enhance GER’s current staff and capabilities with skills in geological mapping, water and soil sampling, and brings new skills and insights to our team.

MLPA Convention

Mikel Carlson and Jacob Fitzpatrick attended the 78^th annual convention of the Missouri Limestone Producers Association (MLPA) on November 30^th – December 1, 2023. There was record breaking attendance again and we met with several quarry operators, vendors, and regulators. GER is an associate member of MLPA and provides regulatory compliance and land reclamation permitting assistance for mining operations.

While at the convention, Mikel Carlson participated in the Industrial Minerals Advisory Council Meeting as a council advisor member. The Missouri Industrial Minerals Advisory Council is an advisory council to the state geologist. The council’s main duty is to advise the department on collecting, processing, managing, and distributing geologic and hydrologic information to assist the industrial minerals industry.

During the convention, Jacob Fitzpatrick attended the Missouri Minerals Education Foundation (MMEF) as a board member. The MMEF works to educate the public about mining and provide lesson plan materials to school educators.

 

Welcome Jacob Wolken

Jacob Wolken recently joined the staff of GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc. (GER) as an Environmental Scientist.  Jacob graduated from University of Missouri-Columbia with a B.S. in Environmental Science with a Soils emphasis. Jacob has experience in geotechnical and environmental drilling, soil and groundwater sampling and characterization, and drilling oversight.

Mr. Wolken’s education and experience complement and enhance GER’s current staff and capabilities with skills in environmental projects, and also brings new skills and insights to our team.

GER is a civil engineering and environmental compliance consulting company based in Jefferson City, with offices in the Kansas City metropolitan area and Springfield, MO.  Mr. Wolken is based in GER’s Jefferson City office but will assist with projects throughout the state.
