Ken Ewers, R.G., of GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc., Jefferson City, MO, was elected President of the Missouri Waste Control Coalition (MWCC) at the 2021 MWCC Environmental Conference which took place July 11 – 13, 2021. Ken has served as an advisor for the MWCC since 2015. This is a two year commitment and Mr. Ewers will spend the first year as President Elect and Conference Chairman, and the second year as President.
Ken helped the MWCC plan and promote the annual three-day environmental conference held at Osage Beach. The conference provides an annual forum for discussing the new developments of waste management, site remediation, and environmental protection. MWCC was formed in 1981 to bring together citizens, government, business, and industry to discuss the rapidly changing field of waste management.
Mr. Ewers has over 13 years of consulting experience in the areas of detailed hydrogeologic site characterization, groundwater modeling, and subsurface investigations related to hazardous and solid waste. Mr. Ewers has developed unique methods for in-situ and laboratory characterization of hydrogeologic units, has managed aquifer testing programs including multi-well pumping tests, packer testing, and slug testing and has presented these methods at previous MWCC Environmental Conferences.
