Ken Ewers, R.G., of GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc., Jefferson City, MO, was elected President of the Missouri Waste Control Coalition (MWCC) in July and will continue to serve on the Board of Directors. Ken has served on the board of MWCC directors since 2015. In 2021, Ken was elected as president-elect and served as the chairperson for the 2022 annual conference.
As conference chair, Ken planned and promoted the annual three-day environmental conference held at the Lake of the Ozarks in mid-July. Over 400 environmental professionals attended the conference, which provides an annual forum for discussing the new developments in waste management, site remediation, and environmental protection. MWCC was formed in 1981 to bring together citizens, government, business, and industry to discuss the rapidly changing field of waste management.
Mr. Ewers has over 14 years of consulting experience in the areas of detailed hydrogeologic site characterization, groundwater modeling, and subsurface investigations related to hazardous and solid waste. Mr. Ewers has developed unique methods for in-situ and laboratory characterization of hydrogeologic units, has managed site characterizations, aquifer testing programs including multi-well pumping tests, packer testing, and slug testing. Ken has presented his work at several professional/environmental conferences including MWCC, and Association of Conservation Engineers.
