GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc. would like to express our sincere appreciation to our summer interns, Jackie Akremi-Holt, JZ Upp and Marshall Woods. Internship was a winning combination for the interns and our team. The interns received mentorship and insight into their planned fields of work and we received excellent assistance on projects as well as new ideas and knowledge. New skills were shared and knowledge was broadened, for our team as well as the interns!
Jacquelyn “Jackie” Akremi-Holt interned in the Jefferson City Office and will return to Missouri University of Science and Technology, as a senior, graduating in December 2022, with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering. She will serve as the Vice President of the Shamrock Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary during her last semester. Over the summer, Jackie worked in the Jefferson City Office, with focus on environmental regulatory work and permitting. She assisted on projects involving SPCC plans, environmental site assessment reports, and wastewater treatment systems.
Jordan “JZ” Upp was an intern in our Springfield Office and will be returning as a 4th semester master’s student this fall at Missouri State University, and will graduate with a master’s in Geography, Geology, and Planning in December 2022. Over the course of her internship, JZ assisted with field work, GIS work, and report writing for landfill assessments while also assisting with well installation oversight at a municipal landfill. JZ shared her knowledge of Avenza Maps, a field mapping software, with the company. While finishing her master’s degree this fall, she will continue her employment with GREDELL Engineering Resources, Inc. to gain more experience and knowledge.
Marshall Woods joined us for a second internship, working in our Jefferson City office and will be returning to the Missouri University of Science & Technology, graduating in December 2022, with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. During his internship, Marshall has worked on multiple groundwater sampling events, specifications, sanitary landfill permitting, AutoCAD designs, and both preconstruction and construction projects regarding coal ash ponds and water systems throughout the state of Missouri.
All the best to each of you!
